Happy Summer!

   The Second Grade Team would like to thank all the parents/guardians for their support this school year!  Please remind your children to read for a minimum of 20 minutes daily and practice their math facts as well.

Discussion points when reading at home:

• Ask for a detail from the Beginning-Middle-End of story
• Have your child tell you the following story summary elements:
• Who the main character(s) are
• What the setting and problem in the story is
• Details/evidence that impact the character or relate to the problem
• How the problem gets solved
• How the story ends and how the character feels
