Lesson 1:  What was the "Fall of Rome"?

Lesson 7: Based upon the evidence presented, what title could be used to best redefine the "Middle Ages"?

For the previous night's homework, students were assigned to read and answer questions on Chapter 6 Section 5 of their textbooks. During today's lesson, we will focus on a discussion of the "fall of Rome" and its implications on Western Civilization.  Attention will also be placed on contemporary crises and the reactions to those crises within first and third world nations. Students will also be expected to develop a series of questions about the three major monotheistic religions.  These questions will be collected, graded, and used for a two day discussion of Judaism, Christianity and Islam.  For homework, students will define and describe a series of key terms relating to the three faiths.
