should be fever-free for 24 hours (without the use of Tylenol/Motrin). If they had stomach or intestinal problems during the night, they should not be sent to school. If seen by a doctor and put on antibiotics, they should be taking them for at least 24 hours before returning to school. We realize the difficulties working parents have. However, we are certain you would agree it is of the utmost importance to keep as healthy an environment as possible for the GHS community. In the interest of all students and staff, we ask you to use good judgment and keep a sick child
home. Most medications can be arranged to be given before or after school. If medication is needed during school hours, it should be brought directly to the health office by an adult. Please remember that all medications, prescription and non-prescription, are not allowed in school for any student unless a written order is provided by the child's physician and signed by their parent. All medication must be in the original container or packaging. No more than a 45
day supply may be kept at school. All parents of tenth graders are reminded that a physical exam is required for tenth grade. All tenth graders must have a physical exam on file in the health office by the end of their tenth grade year. All athletes must have a physical exam within one year of the first day of practice. This site is meant to provide information and is not to be used in lieu of medical care from your child's physician.
