8th grade

Art class is held once every 4 days for each student for the entire year. We cover art history, media and techniques and artists. All students use a variety of media to create original works of art.

                               Expectations

Each student needs to bring a pencil and eraser to every class. Students need to arrive on time or bring a pass from another teacher. Each student needs to show respect for every other student in the class and for me. Materials need to be used appropriately and students need to clean up after every class.

Students need 3 other things for success in Art class.

3) Student interest and effort (provided by student)

                                Grades       

Students will be graded on the work that they produce in class and on their behavior and participation.  I only send home progress reports if a student is getting a C or below in class. I welcome contact with parents and the best way to do that would be through e-mail. My address is: melillom@guilford.k12.ct.us. I will be happy to get back to you with any concerns that you may have concerning your son or daughter.
