Welcome to Math with Ms. Kornguth.  This is a class focusing on four major strands of mathematics: Algebra, Geometry, Probability and Number Sense. 

Expectations

• Come to class prepared with notebook, folder, pencil and a calculator
• Classroom expectation is respectful behavior towards teachers and peers at all times
• Put forth your best effort
• Ask for help when you need it.  Ms. Kornguth is available to provide extra help outside of class time by arrangement.  In addition, Ms. DeAngelis, Para educator, will be a support in the classroom daily.
• Homework will be assigned and checked for effort.  Assignments will be posted in the classroom and on the web site (http:www.guilford.k12.ct.us/~kornguths/)
• Tests and quizzes will be announced ahead of time.  Students will have the option to retest for any test or quiz below an 70%. 

• The behavior policy is as follows:

• Individual conference with student
• Contact with parents
• After school detention with teacher
• Referral to dean
