CONTEMPORARY LITERATURE
Dear students and parents:
Students will continue to read the second part of Steinbeck's The Winter of Our Discontent.
They will continue to look at the book's issues of ethical behavior, friendship, materialism, changing society and how the novel relates to our world today. Students should always take notes as they read. These notes help with journal writing, class participation and quizzes.
Students are still working on the personal/ college essay.
