To all Freshman and Parents / Guardians:
The beginning of 4th quarter has arrived. Quarter 4 is the time of year to focus on three things.
1. Make the end of the year your stongest performance. By using your independent learning skills, your should be well on your way to accomplishing this goal. If you need additional supports outside of the classroom environment, academic teachers and support staff are available. Math lab and writing lab are also an option as they meet throughout the school day. Take advantage of these resources. Skills such as self-advocacy, time management, study habits, responsibility for words and action, and stress management will be encouraged and reinforced throughout the high school experience.
2. Since you have already experienced cumulative exams during midterms, you already have a good idea as to what to expect on your final exams. Keep your daily work and assessments as a way to review for the finals as they arrive in June.
3. Lastly, school counselors will be working on next year's schedule choices as soon as the master schedule is set. As we finalize next year's plans, keep in mind that it is important to challenge, but not overwhelm yourself. Evaluating individual course options as well as the overall management of all of your courses is equally important.
Have a fantastic end to your freshman year!
