The Guilford High School Building Committee
On June 14, 2011, the Town of Guilford approved a referendum to build a new Guilford High School on the site of the existing school. Also in June 2011, the Board of Selectmen appointed nine Guilford residents and two alternates to serve on the Guilford High School Building Committee (GHSBC) to oversee all aspects of the design and construction of the new high school. The GHSBC believes it is important that the public provide comment during the design and construction phases of the high school.

The Committee regrets that it is not possible to answer every question posed, but please know that committee members are working diligently and appreciate your shared enthusiasm for the new GHS.

SCHEMATIC DESIGN AS OF MARCH 14, 2012 - 60% COMPLETE

On March 14, 2012, Tai Soo Kim Partners presented a Schematic Design for the new high school to a joint meeting of the Guilford Board of Education and the GHSBC. This Schematic Design is approximately 60% complete.
The architects continue to incorporate input from GHSBC subcommittees, GHS departments, GPS administration, the Board of Education, residents, and the GHSBC. The next version of the Schematic Design is anticpated in early April.

CONCEPTUAL DESIGN - JANUARY 31, 2012
On Tuesday, January 31st, the Guilford High School Building Committee voted to accept a design concept, Plan A-3, from Architects Tai Soo Kim Partners to use in their development of a full Schematic Design for the new high school. (more)
