Board of Education InformationThe Board of Education is comprised of nine local citizens who are elected to serve unsalaried, staggered four-year terms on the Board. Candidates are proposed by the Town's political parties, with no party allowed to hold more than a bare majority of seats. Current Board Members are: William Bloss (Chairman), Keith Bishop (Vice Chairman), Barbara Dudley(Secretary), Mary Beeman, Susan Renner, John Ireland, Alan Meyers, Chris Moore and Ted Zuse. Board of Education meetings are held on the second and fourth Mondays of each month, with the exception of July and August when only one meeting is held. The first meeting of each month consists of a regular agenda and is open to the public. These meetings are held at Guilford High School. The Board both invites citizens to attend and welcomes dialogue regarding the schools and their educational programs. The second meeting of each month is reserved for committee work and is held at our schools on a rotating basis. If you would like information about a specific meeting and/or location, please contact the Clerk to the Board at Central Office (453-8200). Meeting minutes, agendas and the BOE annual meeting calendar can be accessed from this web site. Board of Education meetings are videotaped and rebroadcast by Guilford Community Television (GCTV) on Cable Channel 19.
