Potential Future School Faciliites Development

Over the last decade, there have been many studies associated with Guilford’s School facilities. In 2009, The Adams Middle School Planning Committee was asked to look at potential sites for future middle school and high school facilities. “A middle school committee made up of Town Board members and officials, GPS Personnel, and community members will fully investigate and recommend permanent solutions to the building needs of the Adams facility." The Board stated that this process was not to exceed one year. This Committee first identified approximately 70 potential sites, narrowed the list to 12 then analyzed the 5 most promising sites.

In October 2009, JCJ Architecture was retained by the Guilford Board of Education to develop a report that evaluated five sites that the Town had deemed appropriate for possible future school facilities development.
